This stunning custom home was a 3 and a half year undertaking and a team collaboration between Andrew Designs LA, Adam Hunter Inc and Architect Ken Ungar. The exterior features a dark bottom knife edge pool with integral fire pit, glass changing room, steel dining pavilion and Ombre rose garden all designed by ADLA.

Taking a typical spec home from basic to beautiful. The client’s asked for a lush yard, pool and spa as well as entertaining spaces. The dramatic emerald green Zellige tile used in the pool and spa adds a unique twist to this modern home.

This Hill Section double lot has it all. Custom pool, water features, plantings, furniture and fire features all designed by AndrewDesignsLA.

This already beautiful home was taken to the next level with a full refresh. Refinished hardwood decking, furniture, plantings and accessorizing were all that were needed to make this a real showstopper.

My client’s wanted to update their home and infuse the exterior with some flavors of Mexico. The renovation met its goal by elevating the overall aesthetic of the property while increasing the usability of all exterior spaces. Spaces include a custom kitchen, dining / living areas and a dramatic entry fire feature.

This double lot property on The Strand needed some help updating the exterior to match the full interior gut renovation that was already underway. Raising the pool 5’ out of the ground was a big move with an even bigger reward, allowing for unobstructed ocean views. In addition to the pool design, AndrewDesignsLA created exterior spaces to meet the needs of this wonderful family.

My client purchased this home with the hope of creating his forever dream house after his recent relocation from the midwest. The custom pool, outdoor bar/kitchen, seating spaces as well as expansive patio for his many parties checked every box that was given and the results speaks for themselves.

This Hill Section double lot was designed for a wonderful family looking to have a place to unwind and spend time with each other. The property was designed to accommodate their many needs including a sports court, pool and spa, kitchen garden and beyond.

This was one of ADLA’s first “Tuscany to Montecito” renovations in Manhattan Beach. Stripping the heavy details from the home in place of white plaster, clean lines and an outdoor BBQ/bar for entertinaing. Many custom details including iron trellis/pergolas, built in spa, shade structure, plantings and custom upholstery all provided by AndrewDesignsLA.

The quintessential Palm Springs abode. Located in the Movie Colony, this LA escape was in need of somewhere to cool off and relax. The design included a custom pool and spa, fire pit / seating space to take in the mountain views, plantings, and some much needed shade provided by the roof extension over the outdoor living spaces.

This renovation was really about editing and directing the eye toward architectural elements that update the initially tired façade. Clean layers of Mediterranean inspired plantings soften the stark white walls of this home and a cozy fire pit allows for family gatherings and entertaining.

Located on a secluded island off the coast of Puerto Rico, Vieques is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been within the United States. With the lush feel of Hawaii and quiet of a private island. Vieques is a special place with wild horses, a bio-luminescent bay, incredible beaches and amazing food. This is where I spent nearly 5 years of my career working on the design and construction of the W Retreat and Spa. It is still to this day one of my favorite projects. The property was completed in 2010 and remained a bit of a secret for those seeking a luxurious and private getaway until late 2017 when it was destroyed by Hurricane Maria.

Unfortunately I was brought in to redo a project that was completed by another designer in the South Bay. Poor craftsmanship and material selections unfortunately required some assistance. In the end my Client’s were elated with the outcome. A few Before photos are mixed into this gallery.

All of Andrew’s conceptual designs are hand drawn using pens and markers. He has developed his style over the years and finds Client’s tend to have a much clearer understanding of his vision and design intent when the concepts are presented in this manner. As he draws, Andrew can focus on the details and envision himself in each space allowing him to make changes before the plans are later finalized in the computer for pricing and construction purposes.
